Who We Are
UNITED Johnstown is a Christian youth movement that began in the Johnstown, Pennsylvania, region. We aim to unite more than 80 churches, nonprofits, and local businesses in the Greater Johnstown Area. In addition, United has branched out to reach believers in Pittsburgh, Harrisburg, Maryland, and Virginia.
Each spring and fall, weekly night rallies attract hundreds of teenagers and youth groups to worship together and enjoy Bible-based, age-relevant messages by speakers from many different mainstream denominations.
Founded and spearheaded by Pastor Jeremy Barkley of Oakland Church, the ultimate goal of UNITED is to champion authentic revival in local churches and our communities. UNITED is poised to stir a fresh passion for Jesus and a new hunger for the Word of God, powered by the Holy Spirit.
In a movement that spans so many different expressions of Christian faith, it is integral to UNITED to “major on the majors.” That means we recognize and appreciate the nuances of interpretation and approaches to faith, but we are intentional to capitalize on the core beliefs that bind together all the churches and organizations involved in UNITED.

What We Believe
THE BIBLE.
We believe the Bible is God’s Word, and it is accurate, authoritative, and applicable to our everyday lives.
GOD.
We believe in one eternal God who is the Creator of all things. He exists in three Persons: God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit. He is totally loving and completely holy.
JESUS.
God’s Son, the Lord Jesus, is both God and man and the only one who can reconcile us to God. He lived a sinless and exemplary life, died on the cross in our place, and rose to life to prove His victory and empower us in life.
THE HOLY SPIRIT.
Fully God, the Holy Spirit strengthens believers and fills us with power to effectively share the Gospel with our communities. The Holy Spirit also equips us with spiritual gifts to build up the Church and reach the world.
PEOPLE.
We believe that every person is born a sinner, and in order to receive forgiveness, we must repent of our sins and believe in the Lord Jesus Christ. God intends for us to live holy, fruitful, and power-filled lives so that we can worship Him, strengthen the Church, and share the Gospel.
